Ribbonfarm Piece on Manipulation
I have a piece on the "strategy of subversive conflict" at Ribbonfarm. I was invited to expand it into a 5-part series. Posted at a tentative outline at my Diaspora microblog. May be room for more outside of Ribbonfarm, who knows? In meantime, I recently discovered friend David Auerbach's article on "anonymity as culture." This is a very interesting look at what happens when eluding recognition/attribution (and above all else centralized control) is a guiding ethos for a community. It reminds me of Trust and Rule and The Art of Not Being Governed.
